Lets concentrate on prescription prices

As we have been saying. Maybe concentrating on prescription prices would be the baby steps we need to take to start managing the cost of healthcare. As we have posted here previously, prescription costs are something we can lower if we have the will. Sen Udall and Lower Prescription Prices

We are noticing more and more efforts at both the state level and the federal level to legislatively lower the cost of prescription drugs. It seems as though examples like the news article linked below are available every day. Look back here for more info as to what happens to this tidal wave of prospective laws and what we can do as consumers to help our legislators have some success in enacting prescription price legislation. Also, please, if you know of a way to help, let us know here.

After the Healthcare Bill, the Future of Prescription Prices

You will notice the one clear bit of info in this article, prescription drug pricing was NOT included in the recent House Republican bill. However, there may be changes on the horizon. We wonder if maybe healthcare legislation will be more focused at solving individual, manageable problems, including the solution referenced in the article below. Lower Prescription Prices Immediately? Can This Be True?

We just found this article regarding a way prescription prices could be lowered immediately. In addition, it appears this would not retard innovation as is so often cited as a reason that high drug prices are a positive. We are going to continue to investigate and monitor developments in this area and will post here. If anyone has any info, please share with us
